Neurologists from the University of Buffalo have found that optical coherence tomography (OCT) is useful in MS, especially optic neuropathy which is the first sign of MS for 20 - 25% of MSers. This is the same test that has been used for glaucoma. This test works because the retina has no myelin.

nope...never had this test. when i was in the process of being diagnosed i went to an opthamologist and...he couldn't see what the MRI showed...an enhancement of my left eye. i will have to read up on this.
I'm not sold on this. It seems an MRI will show more. I do think the test may have caught my MS about 20yrs sooner...but what drugs would a 10yr old have to endure for decades...too soon for this..I'll have to think about it.
Never had this test done. I would be interested in finding out how its done, so, will reseach that later.
